What Are We Called Again?

So, we ran the campaign as the Tinnitus Network and now we’ve changed our name; what’s all that about?

Well, we’ve been doing this for years with the network name. Then we found out that somebody else had the .com and were actively using it. Then when the campaign launched they trademarked the name.

After that we had a very long period of trying to choose the right name for what we’re doing. Not easy at all we can tell you, the thesaurus took an absolute bashing.

Loads of names are taken by domain squatters, trying to make some easy cash because people want something that’s recognisable. And many of the names we looked at didn’t have all of the important extensions left either (.com, .net, .org).

In the end we were able to get hold of the .com for Tinnitus Hub (the original name I wanted years ago when this idea started – Steve).

So, there you have it, we are now “Tinnitus Hub”.

We like it and we think it describes well what we are – a hub for information, advice and support.

The team.
